Add it to the workbook's knowledge base: PDF, Word and plain text, up to 20 files per workbook. A scan without a text layer is read with OCR when attached; clear scans work best, and handwriting, poor photos or crooked pages can misread, so treat those results as a draft to check.

Ask for what you need

Invoice totals into column C, one row per invoice. The assistant searches the file before it writes, and every search appears in the action log with the query it ran.

Each value it writes is logged with the exact range it touched, so it is quick to compare against the PDF. A whole run reverts in one click, and the result exports as a normal .xlsx.

When a converter is the better tool

Kantaja does not recreate the PDF page for page. If you want every table copied out exactly as laid out, a dedicated converter does that better. Kantaja is for pulling the values you actually need into a spreadsheet you are building: totals, dates and line items, in your columns.

What happens to the PDF you upload

It is stored in your account, attached to that workbook, and you can delete it at any time. Prompts and the data they reference are processed by AI model providers to produce the result. The full detail is in the privacy notice.

The file stays attached

The PDF joins the workbook, so a follow-up question next week runs against the same file without re-uploading. Attach reports, price lists and contracts side by side, and both the assistant and =AI() formulas search them when a request depends on them.

Underneath it all is a full online Excel editor, so you can always step in and finish by hand.
